Term    Definition
disability  A disability is a physical impairment, sensory impairment, cognitive impairment, intellectual impairment, or mental health issue that limits an individual's functional ability.

  
disability support office  The Disabiity Support Office is the college or university department that is responsible for providing supports for students with disabilities.

  
dual/concurrent enrollment  Dual/concurrent enrollment is a program that allows students enrolled in high school the opportunity to gain college experience or earn college credit by enrolling in college-endorsed classes in their high school, taking college classes on a college campus, or enrolling in college level accredited distance learning classes. This program provides students the experience of the rigor of a college curriculum, enhances admission and retention, and improved the transition from high school to college.
