Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act Secion 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, (as amended), is a civil rights statute which prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities. Under this law, students' with disabilities are required to receive "reasonable accommodations" in education unless those accommodations would constitute an "undue burden".
